JEANIE LINDERS: Writer + Lyricist In 1982, Ms. Linders was voted one of Orlando Magazine's "Top
10 Women To Watch". Since then, Floridians have watched her
wearing a series of hats, from owner of the first female ad agency
to publisher of the arts magazine, Link.
She has been a vocal arts advocate and event producer in the U.S.
since 1979, producing shows and multi-stage music festivals featuring
top jazz and blues stars. She also developed Orlando's first arts
complex and incubator housing 125 visual artists and 30 performing
arts groups.
Ms. Linders has served as an arts development consultant in Florida,
California, North Carolina and Arkansas for special events, arts
marketing and management. Her creativity and originality in advertising,
marketing and public relations has also won her several awards.
She has been a columnist for several newspapers, including the
Chicago Tribune, Boston Globe and Variety, and recently published
WOMANKIND, a book of poetry for and about women.
KATHRYN CONTE: Director
Kathryn Conte earned her BA in performance from University of Central Florida and recently earned her MFA in directing from The Catholic University of America. While at La MaMa Theatre in New York, she worked with such artists as Eugenio Barba as well as with Tom O'Horgan on an Off-Off Broadway workshop of Souls.com and The Plagues For Our Times.
Her directing credits include adaptations of Othello, The
Merchant of Venice, The Frogs and Second Shepard's
Play, all by Shawn Northrip, as well as Sarah Daniels' The
Gut Girls, Heiner Muller's Medeamaterial, and Bondage, The Dumb Waiter, Light Years, and her own adaptation
of The Tempest. As a part of the 2002 Kennedy Center For
The Arts Prelude Festival, she directed TITUS! The Musical by Shawn Northrip.
PATTY BENDER: Choreographer
Ms. Bender's career began 25 years ago as a choreographer at Walt Disney World. She left Disney in the early '80s to work in New York and choreographed for Off-Broadway shows (The Price of Genius and The King Trilogy) as well as in regional theatres. In Florida, her credits included Damn Yankees, The Pirates of Penzance, Vampire Lesbians of Sodom, Poe, Skin of Our Teeth, Grease, and You're a Good Man Charlie Brown. Ms. Bender also broadened her repertoire to include professional sports teams, theme parks, corporate and "industrial" productions.
As a performer, Ms. Bender's credits include Vanities, Sweet
Table at the Richelieu, Cat's Paw, Taking Sides, Tales of the Lost
Formicans and Night of the Iguana. Over the last 10 years,
she has also produced and directed international live shows, films
and television projects.
